February class
Time
flies!!! The February class is over and it’s just about time for our March
class. In February’s class we spend the morning at Charles Towne Landing
learning about animals that were native to SC when the settlers arrived years
ago and got a special behind the scenes tour of all the animal backup areas. We
also went in-depth in how to create cover letters and resumes and the homework
is to update or create them. Hopefully this is a skill that they will take with
them for years to come and will help when applying for jobs, college and scholarships
as many interns have in the past. We are excited for the March classes as we’ll
go canoeing in Francis Beidler forest (could be the first time canoeing for a
lot of the students) and learn about interpretation as they get ready for
animal presentations that will happen in April! See you in March!
